Steven Claydon's bell for British Art Show 7 at Hayward Gallery is removed from its cast, cleaned and polished at Whitechapel Bell Foundry.
Dating back to the sixteenth century Whitechapel is one of only two remaining working foundries in Britain and has produced some of the world's most iconic bells including Big Ben and the Liberty Bell.

The whole city will come alive with Sideshow – a response to British Art Show 7 led by artists and curators living and working in Nottingham. Co-ordinated by Nottingham Visual Arts, Sideshow has commissioned 15 projects that involve over 100 artists and 50 organisations, including installations, impromptu exhibitions and club nights
